Rose Pruning Day with Jenny ‘Niff’ Barnes

Tuesday 2nd, Wednesday 3rd & Thursday 4th February 2027

10am until 3pm

Rodmarton Manor

We are delighted to say that Jenny “Niff” Barnes’s rose pruning course is coming back to Rodmarton next year!  Known to thousands on Instagram for her unique way of managing roses. This will be a day of practical demonstration and instruction. She will be teaching us how to turn your roses into living sculptures which are interesting forms in themselves and will flower profusely in Summer.

Jenny began her career at Asthall Manor under the extremely knowledgeable Head Gardener Mark Edwards. It was there that she learnt the innovative methods of rose pruning which she developed into her own style known as ‘Niffing’. She then went on to work in highly acclaimed gardens such as Cottesbrooke Hall and Daylesford House.
This is an amazing opportunity to learn first hand from the master. Your roses will never be the same again!
The day will begin at 10am with tea, coffee and refreshments, followed by a talk from Jenny on how it all began and how her techniques can be used in our own gardens. We will then go out into the garden at Rodmarton to observe and learn from Jenny as she demonstrates how to prune all types of roses giving you a broad breadth of knowledge of how to promote healthy growth, prolific flowering and how to turn them into incredible sculptures in their own right.
Lunch will be served in the tea room at Rodmarton and Jenny will continue the course after lunch until 3pm when tea and cake will re-energise you for your journey home!
Places are very limited so we do advise prompt booking. This will be done on a first come first served basis.

Ticket Price £200.
